Assess a specimen beta
Compare clear photographs with the Atlas. The model evaluates only visible cosmetic condition and returns separate component grades with confidence. There is deliberately no single overall condition score.

Step 1
Photographs
The front photograph is mandatory. More useful angles improve coverage but can also trigger abstention if the evidence conflicts.
Images are resized in your browser before submission. References.watch does not intentionally write submitted photographs to project storage in this beta.
Step 2
Photo quality gate
A failed front image stops inference. Optional images that fail are simply excluded.
Step 3
Atlas assessment
Low confidence and conflicting high-confidence photographs produce “Unable to assess” instead of a forced grade.
Interpretation: these grades describe visible condition only. See the Condition Atlas definitions before using them comparatively.
